Sandstone is a warm rusty shade, with glowing sunset orange tonal variations. Much of Sherwood lies on sandstone which surfaces in places to give a rich variety of orangey red hues.

Lyncolne Grene was the colour of choice for Robin and his merry band, around 900 years ago. This  was produced in medieval Lincoln, the exact shade of which lies somewhere in the annals of history. The inspiration for my Lyncolne Grene is a historical garment displayed at Nottingham Castle.

Wild Orchid is a semi-solid delicate pink with subtle variations. The splash of pink of the common spotted and bee orchids are to be found in glades throughout Sherwood and even in Nottingham city centre on undisturbed ground.
